1. Agreement and operator

These Terms govern access to Lassina (“we”, “us”), a channel and media intelligence website. You can contact us at woldekirstos@gmail.com. By accessing or using Lassina, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy at /privacy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If Lassina uses YouTube API Services, by using those features you also agree to be bound by YouTube’s Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms. YouTube and Google are separate companies and do not sponsor or endorse Lassina.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, meet the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction and be authorised to enter this agreement. You must provide accurate registration information, keep credentials secure and promptly report unauthorised access. You are responsible for activities through your account to the extent permitted by law. We may suspend or restrict accounts for abuse or security reasons.

3. Google Sign-In

If you choose Google Sign-In, Google authenticates your identity and shares basic account details with Lassina within the openid, email and profile permissions you authorise. You remain subject to Google’s applicable account terms and Lassina’s account and privacy provisions. Google Sign-In does not give Lassina permission to access unrelated Google services. You must use an account you are authorised to control and keep that account secure. You can withdraw the app’s Google access through your Google Account settings; closing your Lassina account is a separate action described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Description of service

Lassina provides search, channel profiles, public rankings, comparisons, research articles and optional member features. Some content comes from external platforms; other results are derived from our own analysis. Features may change, and the POC may use representative or synthetic data clearly labelled as such.

5. Information quality and limitations

Public platform statistics can be delayed, rounded, incomplete or removed. Rankings depend on the stated dataset, time period, selection criteria and methodology. Inferred topics, locations, sponsorship indicators, channel evaluations and AI-generated summaries are estimates, not verified facts unless expressly identified as such. We do not guarantee comprehensiveness, accuracy, monetisation status, future growth or commercial outcomes. Do not treat the service as legal, financial or professional advice.

6. Permitted use

Subject to your plan and these Terms, we grant a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the website and view available information for legitimate personal or internal business research. You may quote limited findings with attribution and links where legally permitted. Access to bulk downloads, API or machine use requires express authorisation in the applicable plan or separate agreement.

7. Prohibited conduct

Do not:

  • bypass authentication, rate limits or security controls;
  • attack or overload the website;
  • probe another user’s data;
  • scrape or systematically extract our service or republish its datasets without permission;
  • resell access or content outside an authorised agreement;
  • use the service to harass or surveil individuals;
  • infer sensitive personal traits from channel data;
  • misrepresent analyses as verified facts;
  • upload malicious material;
  • infringe third-party rights; or
  • use the service unlawfully.

We may investigate misuse and enforce proportionate access restrictions.

8. Third-party platforms and intellectual property

YouTube channel names, video metadata, marks and content may belong to their respective owners. We do not transfer ownership of that content. Platform data is used subject to applicable third-party terms. The Lassina brand, site design, original reports, software and proprietary analysis belong to us or our licensors, subject to the rights of third parties. Users must comply with applicable YouTube Terms and restrictions when using YouTube API-enabled features.

9. User material and saved information

You retain rights in content you lawfully submit to Lassina. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display that material as necessary to deliver the service and comply with law. Do not submit confidential or personal data you are not authorised to share. Private saved lists remain subject to the privacy notice and account permissions; we do not promise any currently unimplemented sharing feature.

10. Research and editorial content

Our articles and statistics are provided for information. Each research piece should disclose methodology, data source dates and limitations. Users must not remove material context when quoting results. A platform’s inclusion in Lassina does not imply its endorsement, affiliation or assessment by its operator.

11. Subscription and credits

The current POC may be offered without payment. No charges, subscriptions or credits apply unless a separate clearly displayed paid plan and checkout terms are introduced and accepted. Future paid plans will explain pricing, taxes, renewal, cancellation, refunds and usage limits before purchase.

12. Service availability and changes

We may maintain, improve, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practicable. Beta features may be unstable. We will not knowingly misrepresent test data as live production intelligence.

13. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without guarantees of uninterrupted operation or a particular result. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable, or mandatory consumer rights.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Lassina and close your account at any time from your Account page, which deletes it immediately, or by contacting woldekirstos@gmail.com. We may suspend access for serious breach, unlawful activity or security risk. We will handle retained personal data according to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

15. Complaints and corrections

If you believe a channel profile, classification, article or analysis is inaccurate or infringes your rights, contact woldekirstos@gmail.com with relevant information. We will review requests under applicable law and source-platform rules.

16. Changes to terms

We may update the Terms and indicate the revision date. Material changes affecting existing users will be communicated as law requires. Continued use after an effective change constitutes acceptance only where legally valid.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of any mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
